Time flies, doesn't it? Working a full-time day job is really cutting into time to keep this website up-dated and writing time. And if I have to pick, it's probably better to spend more time on the writing so I can get more books done.
I found out today that a friend of mine, one of my first "in-person" writing friends, passed away this morning. She'd been quite ill (let me just say that I hate, HATE, HATE cancer!) for a while, but it was still a shock to hear about it.
Embrace today. Stop and smell the roses. Savor something. Hug someone you love today. Work on making that dream come true TODAY. None of us are promised tomorrow.

Working on this website again today. I'm determined to get this cleaned up and complete ASAP. Of course, working the day job does interfer with that. And trying to write more.
I didn't want the home page of the site to look like an actual blog, and yet, I want to sort of be able to blog. But I can't figure out a way to make this page into an actual blog page with automatic dates and stuff, like I could do on the front page. So I suppose I will have to muddle through here by doing it the "old-fashioned way" which means just typing in the date and entering what I want to enter.
If anyone out there knows how to make a specific PAGE of your blog, not the homepage, a blog...let me know. LOL.
I'm toying with the idea of putting up several very different openings to Hayden's book. It went through quite a metamorphosis on the way to being finished and becoming a "real" book, and I think you might find it interesting. I know I totally loved the original opening scene and would love for you to be able to read it. But when the plot changes, it needs different scenes, and that's what happened with Hayden's book. Fascinating process.
