This is Evelyn Westhoff and I at the Sparta Bookshop in Sparta NJ. Mrs. Westhoff was my Sunday School teacher when I was a little girl, and she also worked for many years at my elementary school.
This is my Aunt Nancy and I. We stayed with her for the weekend, and had a blast! Aunt Nan was the aunt who bought all the "cool toys" when I was a kid, like an Easy Bake Oven, and a pretzel machine. She's an awesome cook, and her office mates at the realtors where she works were so fantastic, coming over to buy books!
This is one of my high school buddies, Glenn. Did I mention I mostly hung out with only guys in high school? My mother thought I was nuts when I decided to go to Douglass College, because it's an all-girls school (okay, so not by much - I took co-ed classes with all the other Rutgers students. But at least my dorm wasn't co-ed! <G>) and I hadn't had many girlfriends. She didn't think I'd manage at an all-girls school, but it was great.
This is my cousin Debbie, and her daughter, Betty Ann. We've already gotten Betty hooked on Holly's Silhouette Romances - we're grooming her for the next generation of romance readers. Betty loves to read, just like I do.
This is Silhouette Romance author Susan Meier and I. This is at Waldenbooks in the Millcreek Mall here in Erie. On Sept. 27, Susan drove up here and signed some of her latest releases. (Sorry, Susan, but the other pic came out blurry!)
This is the view from my parents' house (actually, it's for sale right now) in Sussex County, NJ. Isn't that gorgeous? And you thought NJ was all strip malls, highways, and "the shore." <G> (Not quite all. <G>)
(Anybody read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum mysteries? If you're looking for a laugh, read them. They're wonderful! They're also funnier if you're actually from NJ - you get all the Jersey jokes. <G>)
